Riding for a Cause @ Mountain High
This season Mountain High resort in CA is helping to fight breast cancer. During the 07/08 season guests will have the options to upgrade their regular lift ticket to a “Pink Ticket” for an additional $1. Mountain High will then match that dollar and donate all the combined proceeds to breast cancer research through the Revlon Run/Walk for Women. Mountian High hopes to raise over $100,000 this season to help fight breast cancer through this program.
In addition Mountain High will also be featuring a “Pink” jib in their terrain park this winter to further draw attention to the cause. Painted by artist Steve Lopez of frustr8.com, this jib is sure to attract the attention of both men and women.
I think that this is a great initiative for a great cause. I encourage more resorts nationwide to get involved in programs such as this and give back to the greater community at large.
