Review: IPath Matt Field
I received an early christmas present last week when the UPS man delivered me some new kicks… the IPath Matt Fields. This was first experience with IPath footwear and I’m impressed. The Matt Field is a great casual skate sneaker that will perform equally well in the skatepark or at the local lounge.
The Fields have all the usual bells and whistles that you would expect from a typical skate sneak: gummy soles, padded tongue with elastic stays, all leather uppers, vents for breathability…. Some of the uniquely IPath features that I found expecially nice though are: the super teched-out footbeds with built in arch support and honeycomb gel heel padding and the tongue “stash” pockets to hide your keys, coins or “contraban” in. And staying true to the IPath mission of introducing alternative materials into skate shoe design, the Fields also make creative use of Hemp panels on the toe box and side panels for a nice design contrast.
These are a great shoe for skating or hanging, they can be dressed up or down as needed and offer a lot for the price.
