Shayne Pospisil Tops at TAC Highest Air

The kid from Manasquan, NJ is on fire! Shayne Pospisil found his way to the top of another podium today. Shayne tied for top honors at the Arctic Challenge Highest Air competition with Daniel Josefsen of Norway. Both riders recorded a height of 6.8 meters (22.3 Feet). Living legend and event organizer Terje Haakonsen rounded out the podium in 3rd with a height of 6.0 meters (19.7 Feet).
Leading into the competition there was talk that the heavy field including; Kevin Pearce, Heikki Sorsa, Antti Autti and Risto Mattila, would top Terje’s world record height of 9.8 meters (31.2 Feet). The weather took a turn for the worse today though and no new records were to be set.
Shayne’s win comes hot on the heals of his first place finish at Red Bull Snowscrapers in NYC earlier this month. A win that also came in less than ideal snow conditions. Bad weather? Sketchy snow? No problem for us riders from Jersey. Congrats Shayne!
